How To Get Attention To Your Add

There is never ANY GOOD REASON to hold back
when you're writing a winning advertisement. As
long as you don't out and out lie, everything else
is fair game. The most important thing that you
need to remember is the purpose of your ad is to
simply attract your prospect's attention and get
them to take action (click the link or visit your site).

What I have learned in my experience writing
classified and online advertising is that you only have
one opportunity to get the prospect to read your
ad. You have one small moment in time to grab hold
of their attention and never let go. And you have to
admit, that I must know a little about advertising,
because my advertisement got YOUR attention, and
kept it long enough for you to respond by visiting
my website.

There are 3 main components to writing a
successful ad:

The headline
The body
The website

The headline is the first line of the ad and has a
BIG JOB. It must grab the attention of your prospects
enough to have them either read your ad or click your
link to visit your website. When writing your
advertisements you should spend the most time with
making sure that your headline attracts the attention
of your target prospects. The headline needs to also
relate directly to what your prospect is searching for,
so make sure that before you write your headline, you
determine what it is exactly that your prospect wants
that you can offer.

The body is simply a follow-up or extension of the
headline. If your prospect is reading the body of your
ad, you should make sure that they see what benefit
they will get from visiting your website. Specifically what
solution are you offering them to fix a problem that
they have.

The website link is obviously just your website that
they will be visiting.

Keep in mind that your ad is normally competing directly
with the ads of your competitors displayed in the same
place as yours. So, your ad must be more outrageous
or compelling than all of the competitors ads that are
viewed at the same time if you want to stand out.

These 3 advertisement all say something intriguing
and exciting to start them off, maybe even
unbelievable to some people. That will get them to
at least want to learn more about what we have to
offer. You may have been intrigued enough by an
ad like one of the ones above to need to find out
more.

Remember, when writing advertisements, be creative,
be outrageous, and don't hold anything back.
